About the destination

Maragogi is a municipality in the Brazilian state of Alagoas, located north of the capital city, Maceió. It is situated on the northern coast of Alagoas, making it the easternmost city in the state. Maragogi is the second most popular destination in Alagoas, after the capital, attracting many visitors from Maceió. From Japaratinga beach at the southern tip, a ferryboat takes visitors across the Manguaba River to Porto das Pedras, where they can enjoy virtually deserted beaches. The city is renowned for its natural pools located about 6 km off the coast. Camacho beach, located south of Maragogi beach, offers a quieter and more secluded experience.
